I'd say I'm a typical size M and that's what I bought. 5'6" and ~140lbs... the reviews are right, size up due to the shorts waist band as they run tight. They fit just fine but the large would be more comfortable for sure! I also think this material will shrink up after washing/drying and it looks better oversized. It's not too thick, a good lightweight spring and summer set! Love the white color!

Good quality for what you pay for! The shorts were a little tight so I would size up if you don’t want them too tight. Very comfy and love the color I grabbed!
